      <image:title>About - MY FOCUS</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2013 while studying social work at Columbia University in New York City, I read DBT in a Nutshell and it resonated deeply. Prior to graduate school I had been working in an after school program at Roosevelt Middle School in San Francisco’s Richmond District. Every day I would play, teach and interact with middle school students, some of whom had severe emotional dysregualtion challenges and I felt helpless. Under Dr. Andre Ivanoff I trained at Columbia’s DBT training program. DBT provided me with a framework for conceptualizing the problems of clients with complex diagnostic pictures in a way that felt hopeful, compassionate and effective. A decade later I remain committed to that work.</image:caption>

<image:title>Therapy - About My Practice I've been trained in DBT since 2013, and over the past decade-plus, I've worked with clients carrying complex diagnostic pictures, with a speciality in emotion and mood dysregulation, trauma, and neurodivergence. I've got ADHD myself, and I bring a lot of humility, humor, and genuine curiosity to the work. Having fun matters to me, even when the work is hard. People tend to find me after more typical approaches haven't worked. I like collaborating and puzzling through things with clients, coming up with human solutions for human problems and new roads forward when you've felt stuck. I'm not interested in rigid systems or one-size-fits-all thinking, and I'll challenge the status quo when it's not serving you.</image:title>
